So many good flavors to celebrate fall in exciting ways!
Autumn brings a craving for cozy. Warm beverages, colorful leaves, and cozy fires all lend a hand in helping us celebrate our personal favorite time of the year.
All that crisp air can make a person a bit hungry. It’s a fact. It’s also well known that the best way to fill up that hungry spot is with pie. It’s true! Since we love Autumn so much, we have been playing with some classics and turning them into new, delicious traditions for us to love and to fill that craving for “autumliciousness”.
Pumpkin is a classic, no doubt about it. Of course, we do a killer classic pumpkin – featuring local honey from our neighbors at Heritage Woods Honey. We know it's local because we can see the hives from our kitchen window!
But sometimes we just need to get creative. And we did.
We have been playing with some new things – one is a pumpkin cream, a classic cream pie made with real pumpkin (and that local honey!) It was an instant hit with the staff!
We also have a few special pies going on the menu for our Big Thankful Pie Flight: A celebration of an American Classic - The Pumpkin on Sun. Nov 12th at 2 PM (SOLD OUT!) You can try Maple Pumpkin – local maple syrup from Weiss Woods in the pie and the whipped cream. Also, our Pumpkin Pecan and a new Sweet Potato Bourbon pie!
Not a pumpkin fan? We have you covered. Add a Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Walnut or Classic Pecan to your wish list. We can tell you that a Stockholm Apple pie, with its Scandinavian-inspired spiced crumble topping, will hit the mark for so many of your family and friends.
