About
Our Story
On the shores of the Mississippi River there is a tiny, magical village nestled in the bluffs on the Great River Road. That magical little Village of Stockholm has been a favorite of visitors for decades, with its charming shops and eateries – not to mention the stunning scenery.
A sweet grandma moved to the tiny village of Stockholm quite a few years back. Her brother and brother-in-law had a tiny space open in their 100+ year old building in the village. After finding out that the sweet grandma also made some of the best pie anyone had ever tasted, they decided to open up little weekend pie shop. Within months, press from across the country were writing about her pies. Even after all the many years, the awards and press keep piling up with recognition as one of the top pie shops and café’s in the country.
Why pie? Pie is comfort. Pie is grandma’s house. Pie is like a big hug from our past. Pie = Love for sure. Oh.. and pie is really, really delicious.
What made these pies so special? Lots of love for sure. All real ingredients for sure – no can of anything went into those pies. Every crust was made from scratch, one at a time with a secret recipe that the sweet grandma had learned from a friend in rural Kansas many years before.
The same family still makes every pie exactly the way they were the day Stockholm Pie & General Store opened. Come on in and visit for a bit. Love to see you!
